  • How many kms have your Tiguans travelled?

    Hi all,

Just wondering what the average kms are on all of out Tigs out there.

The dealer I go to reckons I have a Tig with the highest kms they have seen???
Mine was delivered in Aug 2009, and now has 55,000kms on it. I didnt think it was too bad, but I do drive everyday for work...

11800km in 18 months for me. 4000km of that was in the last 4 months (since the rains started in Bne, I tend to drive to work more frequently than use the bike)

I am on my second Tig. First one, of Aug '08, travelled 51K kms and was traded in for 2nd one on Jun 10, which has now done 14k kms. They look the same but were very different: the '08 model had a few rattles, but less body roll and was more fun to drive while being bumpier, especially off-road. The '10 model has no rattles, feels more like a luxury car, but suspention has more roll and steering is lighter. it is much better off-road though.

Well I see that the kms traveled certainly varies between all of us.

I guess we will all be able to pick up certain things as the cars get on in kms?...will keep you all informed as to how mine goes.
BTW, I mainly do (98%) city / suburban driving as I rack up so many kms for work (56,500kms now...since what was stated in the first post a few days ago).

Mind you, I really take care of mine, and reckon someone would be hard pressed to tell how many kms it has on it even with a careful examination.

Wonder how high Kms will affect my trade-in / resale value????

When is the best time to swap it over do you all reckon??? I have been trying to hang out until the MK6 front end model comes out.....

we've done about 24,000 since July 09. Friends have done over 40,000 and 50,000 respectively in their Tigs in about the same time
Ours has run faultlessly in that time, they have had some minor problems with engine sensors (both diesels) in the last 5000 klms but otherwise Ok

Mine's done 24,000kms delivered May 09. Use every day and done a few country trips. Only hassle is that damm seat of mine. Clicking back and forth...Crips it is driving me insane, help on Forum is assisting my research as dealer is a bit useless, already had it out once.
