Its unlikely, but have you checked for a lumpy tyre? The steel belts can sometimes break inside the tyre. Had this happen to me once and it took me some time to work it out.
Yep, it is not a wheel balancing issue. We have tried rebalancing this several times now at different shops.
It is prob an issue with the manufacturing of the wheels I think. I am ready to just get my money back and forget the whole idea...sadly.
I cant keep wasting valuable time stuffing around while some wheel and tyre manufacturer experiments to get it right! (I am getting quite ticked off by this whole ordeal now as you all can tell)
Thanks for your input though. Much appreciated.

Well after all this time, I have just heard back from the shop.
They have sent the wheels for an independant test at another machine shop who have tested the machining of the holes with a fine laser guided 100th machine...etc...so they say...
They reckon that three of the holes in diff wheels were out by a few mms which has casued this pain-in-the-butt issue!!!!!!!
So there you go.
The shop I bought these all from has offered to get me in some Speedy wheels to replace them. I will see what they look like, but if I dont like them, I will just get the cash back.
Any Thoughts?
Thanks all.

Let them know straight away that you would like the refund, so they don't order another wheels for you, since it will cost them money to get them in and then send them back.
Yep have let them know that I do not want any other type of wheel. You should have seen the ones they tried to talk me into...eeewwwww!!!
I calmly asked for my money back etc..
He now doenst want to do that because he reckons he will have to fight to get his money back from Advanti (i'm thinking: "not my problem"). Also he complained that now he will have tyres with wear on them that he cant sell. (again " not really my problem")
I hate it, but I have gone from being really nice about all of this, to being determined to get it over with.
Lesson learned???: Dont mess with the OEM too much??!!

Lesson learned? perhaps not about buying OEM, but assuming you have been as reasonable throughout the whole saga as you've indicated here, then unfortuantley it's probably more about lesson learned of being nice, reasonable, considerate, understanding etc etc. I have been all those things at times and always try to be, but at times have ended up the one feeling guilty, in the wrong, unreasonable etc for something that's not my fault, problem etc. If they try that **** after you have been so reasonable throughout the whole thing, then I'd go in hard. You bought the wheels/tyres in good faith and to do a job. They could not/did not do that and you are therefore entitled to a full refund. Accept nothing less. It's their lesson learned about supplying poor quality products, not yours.

Sounds like a real fun experience [/sarcasm]
I agree it isn't your problem that they sold you dodgy equipment.
If you can source wheels of the same size you could use the tyres however i would go a whole new wheel/tyre combo to reduce the risk of anything happening like that again.
Probably better off going with wheels that are deigned for VW/Audi etc rather than generics.
Sucks when being nice and tolerant doesn't work. And people in customer service wonder why people are often rude!
Worst case you could keep the tyres and fit them to your new same size rims?
Also you could always let the rim rep know you'll be pasting this thread to every single car forum you can find here in Australia, just to ensure no-one else buys dodgey rims from this crew?

I have dropped a few comments about getting advice from "experienced VW owners and mechanics" etc ...
Yep, I at first felt for them as retailers. They got a bad batch from their suppliers. But as time went on, and they thrust that frustration at me as the consumer...well my patience wore thin.
I am still calm, and keep my dignity. He on the other hand drops the F bomb throughout all the conversations. I dont see the need for that. Anyway...
So, I am supposedly going to hear about the full refund on Friiday.
As far as keeping the tyres...well, they are good tyres, but as they have been on the rims with an uneven rotation I am not keen to keep them. They have also been fitted and stripped so many times now during this whole fiasco.
No, I think I will call it quits on these, and wait until I find another experienced helpful wheel and tyre shop. (With good fitting and balancing equipment!)
Hey as a side point, He reckons that Advanti "have sold a whole container load of these rims for VW alone!" (ie our stud pattern and size)...
How come none of us have ever seen these on the road?
(as I cant load pics properly, can I please ask someone experienced (team v?) to repost the pic of these again forr all to see?)
Thanks again all.
