Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I thought they were limited to 1.4 twincharged.

No need to worry about that tigger, everyone here knows the TSI's are superior. It was all sorted out last year.

And we all know this is only because they have not yet run any TSI technology engines in these events ......

Diesels are old hat now, their time has come and gone .... just like the V8s before them .... the future is all TSI ....

OK, OK maybe electric, but who wants that anyway ?

It is not what I read at http://www.atzonline.com/index.php;s...0217ede1df850d and in their magazines every month.

After a bit of debate, it was declared that TSI's ruled supreme - there really was no sense in buying anything else. There were a few TDI owners that fought long and hard, but in the end there was no competition.

IMO the petrol vs diesel debate is like comparing apples and oranges. Power vs torque/fuel economy.

I drove a TDI (Golf) for the first time recently and didn't like personally. It felt like a I was in a cab!
