Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    Tiguan Diagnostic Scan report

    Hi guys.

    I asked for a copy of the diagnostic scan results from my service. Don't know if it's the kind of this many people understand, but if anyone can tell me a bit more about these I'd appreciate it.



    I have an AVC9000-1 headunit and specifically asked the dealer not to disable the radio module if there were errors as I hear that disables your steering controls. So a couple of those errors are related to that.

    The Air Conditioning/Heating electonics one interests me if anyone can shed some light on that.

    Thats typical of an "aftermarket" headunit.

    Most systems (including AC which talks to the radio) have some interaction with the infotainment section of the canbus system.

      Excuse me if I'm being dumb, but why would air-con want to talk to the radio? Does it listen to the weather report

        I get errors with my aftermarket speakers too Arctra, I don't think its too much to worry about as long as everything works fine.
