Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Good to hear there is another TSI in the ACT!
Even if it isn't a Black 147!
My car has gone ignored whilst I've been away... and I haven't yet done 4000km in it yet?!?!! So tomorrow I'm heading off to pamper it with a wash and a clean (may cheat and use Waves), then I'm taking it up to Sydney Thur / Fri / Sat. Might come home a long way.2009 147TSI Tiguan, Deep Black Pearl Effect, Black Leather, Sunroof, RNS510, Bluetooth, and MDI.

Want to do another meet in late January. Hopefully we can get a few more Tigs to join in the fun.
Also, I'm prepared to bring a reducer and testfit my Carbonio to a TDI to see if it will work. After looking closely at BrisGTI's Black TDI last time I'm confident it can work!
The only difference is the slightly larger MAF join that we would need the reducer for.Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2018 MY18 Golf 110TSI (150TSI) Trendline manual White2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...

You won't like a GTI, clip ..... its FWD !!!!! ... time for you to go wash your mouth out ...
what you need as a companion to the Tig is the upcoming Golf R .... less weight, more power and AWD goodness ....Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2018 MY18 Golf 110TSI (150TSI) Trendline manual White2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...

- you know that's what I really want!
What I like is:
"R" models power from the new 2.0-litre TSI mill produces 199 kW and 350 Nm - same engine as the Tig
and it gets better:
Unlike the Scirocco R, the Golf R receives Volkswagen’s upgraded 4Motion all-wheel drive system. Compared to the version implemented in the Golf R32, the system underwent significant advanced development. Above all, power transmission between the front and rear axles - especially the all-wheel differential that operates in an oil bath - exhibits clear advances compared to the previous generation. The most important one: Activation of the all-wheel differential no longer requires a difference in speeds between the front and rear axles. The Golf R can accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds
It would look very good next to the Tig in the garage!Last edited by clip; 14-12-2009, 08:58 PM.
