Just got back from a flying run to Sydney. over 2000k's since Friday.
Came back Bucketts Way and Thunderbolts back to Uralla which I've done on the bikes before, but have never bothered in a car. Lets just say it was well worth the bit of rough stuff just after Gloucester. Of course on the way down to Sydney we did the Old Pacific Highway from the Hawksbury. The Tig just eats up this stuff.
Anyway, couple of pics to get the feel:
at the top...

loving it...

Had three adults (my bro and dad) + luggage and stuff. Car was fantastic. My bro couldn't believe the hill climbing and acceleration. Even with the load (another 300 + kg's all up), it didn't make a lot of difference. It still pulled like it had another 4 cylinders, as my bro was quick to demonstrate - over and over again! Needless to say he is now intent on getting one.
Fuel consumption on the way back came in at 8.6 (unlike having another 4 cylinders) which, when considering that drive, was exceptional IMO. I was expecting closer to 10 given the conditions and other contributing factors along the trip
.
As you guys probably know already, I seriously doubt there's another car available (under 100k anyway) that is as versatile, but at the same time, so incredibly capable with everything that you throw at it. It's a bit of a conundrum really - the ultimate compromise, but there are no compromises.
