I know there is one that parks at QUT-GP under C block since i walk past it every time i am at uni.
The sales figures are pretty good really so you would expect to see more but yeah, generally 1 a day.
Just be glad you don't have a mazda 3 or the like where every other person has one.
There's a silver one that is parked on the street most morning when I go to work in St Leonards in the morning, and I've seen quite a few going up and down Pacific Hwy there too.
I've seen one a black few times in the Little Bay area where I play hockey.
Just this morning in Five Dock I had a black one pull out behind me. In fact, I think there are a few in the Five Dock area as a few weeks ago there were 3 of us in convoy on Lyons Rd. Last weekend I saw a TSI parked in Annandale, was behind a white one on City West Link near Rodd Point, and saw 2 other black ones near Homebush.
So basically, yes, they are around, and becoming more popular. I guess it depends what area you live in and what time of day you drive I guess. I don't think it will get as popular as the CRV or RAV4, mainly because it is so late to the market compared to the others, but I'm hoping it will be fairly popular so that people know about them and they have decent resale values. I plan on holding onto mine for a while yet, but when it comes time to sell I want the best return possible

Avg 7.63L/100km over 189,000kms
there's far too many of them up here for my liking. And they seem to be getting more and more popular. At least last weekend I saw a black TDI with bars and a kayak on top - most owners around here look to be in the over 75yo bracket! (no offense to any over 75's, but might not be great for resale).
even the white TDI with black leather at QUT C block when I get there (its only been there about 3 weeks so its new)

Yep, I live in Brisbane (inner north) and see heaps of them every day (3-5) BUT mainly young blokes or hot mums. There are three in my car park at work in the CBD. LOL....yet to see any 75 yo's driving one...

I am seeing more and more every day too. Not sure about the age of driver though - they all seem to be flying past me... hey now I feel like I'm 75. Seriously they seem to be getting very popular or maybe the dealer we stole ours from is letting other people steal theirs too.
2010 Candy White TDI Auto, black leather, bi-Xenons + fogs, DVD plus other gadgets and gizmos to keep the kids quiet!
When I got my Tiguan in May I saw a few a week. 5 Months on I see at least 3 a day and 1 out of 2 is a TSI model in Melb Sth East Suburbs. Not many in red, mainly White, Black, Silver and Silver Leaf. I pass one a day on the M1 freeway lately so it seems they must have been selling well since the ad on TV earlier this year and the Petrol versions also hit our shores. Most people can't pronounce the name let alone know what sort of car it is.

I see a black and a white one regularly in my area (Adelaide). I've seen others (not regularly) as well and none seem to have the screen. (which for me was a great plus of the Tiguan, especially since it can integrate the navigation. Had a look at the CX7, they have a screen, but when you want navigation, you have to have a separate screen on your dash...)
