  • Dirt bike carrier

    Hi guys.

Seeing as tow hitches are so expensive for the Tiguan, and all I'd be looking to use one for is to pull a trailer with a dirt bike on it, it got me thinking. I don't actually need the expensive wiring kit if I can get something like this:
    http://www.motow.com.au/ or http://www.ezimotow.com.au/gallery.htm

Only problem with those is they still require a tow hitch to be fitted. Do you guys know of something similar that does NOT need a tow hitch to be fitted? Does the Tiguan have any decent mounting points that you could bolt something like this on to? Are there any ready-made solutions out there to your knowledge?

I think for that to be legal you will need a towbar without wiring. Towbar itself can't be that expensive. I would be talking as well to a place where they fit the towbars they could have some solution.

I reckon you'd still need a towbar for that. There is another option which places the front wheel of the bike in a sling and you tow it with the rear wheel on the road. Only problem is the bike has to be registered

I can't see how you could get away without taillights and a numberplate fitted? The bike will obscure the number plate and the taillights no matter how you load it on.

Well there you go, you do need the wiring after all.
          Still cheaper than trailer, though.
