Someone today reckoned that the Tig should have a setting where if you lock the doors using the remote, and the windows are still down, they will go up automatically. I looked through everything but couldn't find it. Any of you guys know anything about this?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Great little trick!sigpic

yep, thanks arctra. Just that this guy reckoned there should be a setting to change that to full auto so it does it itself if it senses that the windows are down when you lock the car from the remote. I've been through all the MFD settings etc, but can't find anything. Maybe it's a dealer setting?

I also want them to change the setting for the lane-change indicator from 3 flashes to 5 or 6 which I reckon is a lot more practical. I'm sure it's just a VAGCOM (?) setting or something. I think I recall reading in one of the forums that you can get it programmed to automatically close the sunroof when the rain sensors detect rain which is also something that would be very useful!Proud owner of a 2009 Tiguan TDI, 18' wheel, leather, sunroof, park assist, dynaudio, bi-xenon, comfort pack, off-road, fog light.
