  • Last week I bought a 132TSi Pacific, auto, comfort pack (as standard), candy white, leather seats, sunroof, mats, iPod cord and I think that's it for $44500 on the 2.8% dealio.
Delivery is said to be early June which is just in time for my 21st so here's hoping it doesn't change!!
Oh and it was built about 4 weeks ago ;D

I feel your pain, Doggie. I am told that mine won't arrive until October, and I ordered mine back in January!!! Because of the long wait, I requested to have the exterior colour changed from Midnight Blue to Pepper Grey. I think they'll be worth the wait.

EDIT: Scratch that! I was just informed by the dealer that my car is going into production on week 20 and should expect delivery around August . I am now back with Night blue since apparently they didn't have a chance to process my request for the colour change.

          • Ordered a 155TSI MY12, pepper grey, headlights and leather in February for $48700 (incl. on road + boot mat + mud flaps).

Got a call from the dealer today and he said the car is ready for pickup within a week!! ^^ It's been a long wait.

However he mentioned that for some reason my car came with 18 inch alloys. The dealer is willing to drop the price of the 18 inch alloys from $2300 to $1000 if I want to keep them. hmmm.... I've never considered getting the bigger wheels. But it does sound like a good offer. I'm still undecided at the moment. What do you think? Should I get them?

            • Those 18 inch wheels are a b!tch to clean, especially with the amount of dust that come off the brake pads.

Are they the New York alloys. If so bet them. Easy to clean especially if you apply a sealant and I think they look great!

                • Yeah, get em! Good price. I think they look classy. You could also put in some ceramic brake pads for less cleaning requirements.

                    Hey CaptainGG, something to check
The 155TSI comes standard with 17" if the 18" wheels are the new york style then this is a $1300 option on the 155's not $2300. So if you pay $1000 then the dealer has actually only dropped the price $300.

                    • Pickles, thanks for response. I checked the pricing last night and I noticed it's only $1300, not $2300. Now that's a big difference, and the discount is no where near as good. I'll see what's the best they can do.

The New York alloys do look good though ^^

                      • depending on where you are intending to drive and how the roads are around you the 18s might give you a bit of a harsher ride...

                        • Have only done 2 days of driving, but I have found the 18's to give a firm ride without being at all uncomfortable.

                          • There are usually two other factors besides rim size: the profile and the hardness of the tire compound.

The Tiguan still has relatively thick sidewalls with 18". And the supplied tires may have softer compounds. Just try to avoid Bridgestone tires. I found their designs have very very hard materials.
