Isn't it great that this sort of freely available search enables confirmation of what you suspected ?
My car was unloaded on the 8/3 but I am still waiting to hear from the dealer...
I would assume that the dealer would have your Tig delivered by Saturday next week as it’s all about the “delivery numbers” quota for the month (well with my dealer anyway…). Unfortunately it could also be due to compliance delays and/or fixing damage inflicted whilst on the boat too….
My Tig gets off the boat tomorrow/Thursday and the dealer said they’re really pushing for pre-April delivery (hoping for 0 delays).

Give your dealer a buzz and ask what’s happening!
Mine took 2-3 weeks to get from arrival at the port to the dealership.
There was a hold up due to customs and then it normally takes about a week or so to do the compliance.

I'll be amazed if the dealer pulls it off! They'll have to shave a further 9 days off the delivery compared to my R which took 19 days from ship floating into port to garage - not to mention a towbar needs to be fitted too.....
Currently i am looking for Tiguan with the 2.8% loan interest.
I went to a few dealers in WA, they're all not willing to give any discount on the Drive away price listed and the options too.
Struggling to get any good offer at all.
Has anyone actually ordered one with this 2.8% interest rate Tiguan?
I just received a call from a dealer at more rural area. He willing to price the 155TSI Tiguan with metallic paint + leather seat + EL front seat, for $50k rather than the original $52,530 Driveaway.
Is this a good deal? As I saw the previous posts by different users, this price is seem a lot higher comparing to those.
Question to those owners, Do you have higher interest rate or paid by cash?

My $43k for a standard 155TSI (no options other then metallic paint) was with corporate discount (which I think it was around $1000?). Finance was done separate to the dealer. I think I have heard elsewhere that the dealers will not discount with the special finance offer.
It's hard to tell what cost what when you do a deal.
We've just bought 2 x Tigs on the 2.8% finance. We traded a Terri with lots owing on its finance and a Mazda 3 with nothing owing. We got 'fair' trades and a little discount on both new cars (118 TSIs, one with Comfort, fogs and metallic - basically what they had in stock.)
So what was the cost of the new cars?... Don't really know or indeed care.... Monthly Payments were a bit more important to us. Overall the deal was good and fair all round.
We take delivery on Friday; 3 weeks from first walking into the dealer.
Tiguan MY12 118TSI, white, no frills..... Had ANS810 ... Note the HAD ..... Now got RCD510 supplemented by 7" Android TomTom mounted on a HoldMyPhone .... Upgraded speakers Vibe BlackAir front splits and MBQuartz 12" ported sub driven from Infinity Reference 5350a amp .... oh and added fun
155 - leather, nav, metallic, 18" new yorks, bi-xenons, park assist. 55.5K
It will be interesting to see what happens, as I've agreed in part on Volkswagen Financing at 2.8%. The catch is the car needs to be delivered before the end of April.
I am aware of people's 6 month delivery dates, and mentioned this several times to the dealer. But both he and his 'boss' were very confident on landing something in that time.
This is really a good price and the specs.. all i wanted but couldn't get one before april for that interest rate..
the new model with Bi-Xenon really hard to get one..with the 2.8% promotion.
Is it possible to buy a set of original Bi-Xenon and fit it later?

my dealer in Melb said the same thing, I could get my tiguan pacific before end of april.. I dunno how they could be that confident.. hopefully not just marketing bullsh*t so they could keep ur money,,
anyone how much they charge to get original towbar fitted? is it worth the price? same with ski rack.. I also will need it pretty soon,, I dunno if I could get something cheaper for ski rack
I don't do car finance, but I can almost guarantee you that the 2.8% that is advertised has a component of the finance built into the price of the car (as they won't discount it almost sure that there a few thousand cost added into the vehicle). If you wanted to compare I suggest you ask them what price they could do for you if you paid cash. I think then you'd see what the real cost of the car is and how much the price is loaded up with the "hidden" finance costs. Reality is it's probably 8.8% finance with 6% built into the car price.
The price I got with 2.8% financing which started March 1st was the same price quoted to me in Feb. Unless they were quoting the 'inflated' price back then. So I don't know if that is entirely true Tigger. Perhaps they would start doing that. I'd like to think that the car dealers are all entirely sinister.
On a side note. I was told that they had located a car for me and it was on the water about 2-3 weeks ago, but have yet to get a delivery date or VIN number from them. They say they are waiting on the invoice from VW. So at this stage still just a waiting game.
MY12 155TSI TIGUAN - Comfort Pack, Beige Leather, Sat Nav, Bi-Xenons, 18" New York Alloys, Park Assist 2.
I have noticed on Carsales that when you search for an Tiguan, under the series field they give you an option for either MY12 or MY12.5. I can understand that the newer Pacific models would probably come under MY12.5, but it appears that the other models also have a MY12.5. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would be or whether there might be any mid cycle changes to require this identification?

A model year is like a financial year.
The MY12's will have been built in the second half of 2011.
The MY12.5's are built in the first half of 2012.
As far as I am aware there was no changes to the model line other than the pacific being introduced.
It's more of an issue for Golf's etc that see minor changes (MFD, new brand of ecu etc).
