  • Being a Golf man myself I'm not really up with all things Tiguan. I've seen the 28490 drive away deal VW is currently offering but I'm not too keen on the 118. I think I'm too used to my bi-xenons and DSG on the GTI to go anything less now

Is there a new Tiguan due out soon or is this just 2012 plated runout deals?

    • Hi guys,

With the current deals on the standard drive away for a 132TSI Pacific DSG is $35,990.

Does this change the game much in terms of what discounts I should be able to get on the car?

I'm about to do the runaround with the local dealers however I'd like to be armed with as much information as possible before I get there.

      Cheers,
      kreuze

      • vw_alex: I ordered mine under the run out deal and its a 2013 plated model. I wouldn't think an updated Tiguan is due soon as they only just gave it a facelift in 2012.

kreuze: I think the dealer gave me approximately $600 discount on the run out deal price. Also added in 12months rego, floor mats and a discount on the tinting. Overall I got the car cheaper than the offer that was rejected by the dealer that I put in just over a month earlier.

2013 Pacific TDI DSG with tinting (also white and 39K)
extras were tow bar, tinting and 1yr reg.

They reckon end of March but hoping to get it sooner.
What is the difference between the non-pacific TDI and the one you ordered? Is it the same features/options as the 132 Pacific DSG?

          • Isn't the 'pacific' 132tsi version just normal 6 speed auto?

            • Not anymore. The pricing section of the VW Australia website even lists the 132TSI Pacific DSG as well as 103TDI Pacfic DSG models, however the brochures don't seem to reflect this yet.

              • I actually think they may have decided to keep the "Pacific" spec going even though the DSG box is back to be competitive with the new Honda CRV, Rav 4, etc. Going back to base model spec they'll probably lose sales to the competition if people start comparing spec levels.

If you want DSG I believe you'll have to go 132tsi minimum.

These are just 2012 plate clearance specials. No new model until 2014 at least as they've only just done a major update at end of 2011.

This doesn't seem right... Surely 'drive away' price includes rego & not something thrown in to sweeten the deal??

                          that is rediculous.
When i got mine, it included free on road costs which is a standard 12 months rego and dealer costs.

                            • New best is $35,500 drive away.

132TSI Pacific w/ DSG, premium paint & mats included.

Still going though, I think I can shave more off the price.

Yep the TDI Pacific has the same extras as the 132 (comfort pack, parking assist 2 and fog-lights)

I just hope it has the 103 tdi wheels and not the 132 pacific (dealer wasn't sure)
