Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Wiring up a aftermarket rear view camera

    Hi
    Re: 2011 Tiguan FWD.
Am going try and fit a aftermarket wi-fi rear view camera, question, behind the RHS panel in the boot is a loom of 3 wires which I beleive are the wires to the reverse lights, 1-Brown, 1-Blue/Black,1-Blue/Black.
Now which one do I take for the feed to my camera (via a relay).
and where do I fit the feed to the infotainment unit, tried to find pics of the rear connections to the unit but no luck up to now, have ordered a connector as per pic, just because was told that is what I need !.

    cheers
