I’m not surprised to be honest. There isn’t much stock around and it seems to be moving fairly quickly. Plus RRP just went up $500 across the range 1 Jan

They are still running the 2.99% finance offer on the Allspace 162TSI and 140TDI Highline. Driveaway price on the 162TSI + 2 packs is $64,674 so they're basically throwing the towbar in for free and about $500 discount.

I'm guessing there's limited stock and they figure they can sell it at that price to the next person who comes along. I'd try a broker if you don't get much luck.

      • Went to another dealer this morning and asked them for their best price on exactly the same car. $64.5k with towbar was the lowest they’d go after starting at $67.5k.

Sales Manager told me they just can’t discount them like they did a year ago. Huge demand and very little supply. It’s a dealers market apparently.

Yes unless they need the number to hit a monthly sales target/bonus I don't think too many dealers are giving away their cars. They can't get supply so they need to make decent margin on every car they sell to keep the doors open and pay all the wages.

The best deal is actually on the finance. You'll save more on the 2.99% finance offer than you'll get from getting a discount on the price.

          • A proper dealer fitted Wesfalia towbar and electrics is the thick end of $2000 as well

Like a A40V or even better an A50H

            • NSW dealer won't budge on $67k for a fully optioned 162TSI Allspace. Anyone had any luck recently?

              • Hi All,
I just picked up a 2020 build/2021 compliance 162TSI Allspace fully optioned (R-Line, S&V, Sunroof) in White for $63K from Rockingham VW, WA

                • Looking to get an Allspace 110TSI with all three add ons and the care package soon, but not sure how much dealers are going to budge in the current environment.

If anyone is interested in the NEW Tiguan, I was told showrooms will have the life from end of March - here’s the full launch bulletin the dealers get Dropbox - The new Tiguan Dealer Launch Bulletin 1 (Data Classification Dealer Internal) 08.02.2021.pdf - Simplify your life

                  • Could the above average quotes be due to the newer more expensive Tiguan going to be released in the 2nd qtr? They want customers to get accustomed to the new price for new model before discounting the old model

                    • Nah, I reckon that stock is just limited - lots of manufacturers are having supply problems due to semi conductor shortages apparently

                      • Currently looking at purchasing a 2018 Tiguan Allspace 132 comfortline with ~39,000 km's for $39k before stamp duty etc. Any thoughts here about the pricing on this? I guess not too many of these available at the moment but keen to find out if this would be a reasonable price or not? Thank you very much.

Does it have any options? Late last year I looked at a 2018 132TSI with ~17,000km with all option packs (DAP, Luxury, Sound/Vision) in metallic grey for $46k driveaway Qld. The only reason I didn’t buy it was it was 7 months and 2,000km past its service and VW Australia told me they can deny warranty claims if they think it’s related to not servicing on time (subjective).

                          • Has anyone listed their Tiguan to see how they are fetching? Eg If you happen to drive an MY17 132TSI dual clutch with DAP, leather, Panoramic roof window, dealer installed towball, basic white paint, ~ 55000 km drive.
