How much did you pay for your Tiguan?

Has anyone seen any photos of the integrated type. One dealer did allude to this but wondering if it is a myth as I have never come across it?

This is the Tiguan MY18 with the integrated sun blinds. I did take a photo of the inside of the window but it’s over 18 months ago so trying to dig up the photos.

I hadn't heard that VW Tiguan had built in Sunblinds in the door (pull up rollers) like the Hyundai Santa Fe

Is this something new ?

Yeah it was available in the MY18 and had to be a factory order (since it was integrated type). Now VW changed it to a dealer accessory so the dealers get more profits.

We ordered our R-Line from Berwick, I asked about Wolfsburg edition and they had non in stock, they checked computer and said there’s very limited number of them available so I would have to wait, most of them come with sunroof and it’s big NO for us, apparently they had few but all were sold in December

I thought the Tiguan Sunblinds were just magnetic type that 'snap on' on the inside ?

Are you saying they are full pull up roller types that are built into the door panel ?

Yup the previous blinds were integrated inside the door and retracts (down) inside the door so it’s fully hidden.

The new ones are held onto the windows using clips.

That's was stupid of VW to remove the integrated version. The integrated versions are much better. What did VW save, $5 ?

Update, dealer trying to negotiation with stock controller to do a swap for a oryx white.

Will found out today.

For anyone who after wolfsburg in oryx white with roof, Noble have a available in stock now.

I totally agree! Integrated is so much better looking and hidden when not in use. I suspect they gave the dealers more accessories to sell with a larger markup.... the new sunblinds are $370 (for rear windows and tailgate door). I only need one window so will get an aftermarket suction cup version for $10!

That would be great as my black one with roof is coming too. There’s 2 ships in transit to Oz, Thalatta & Tulane. I think both will be delayed because of Stink bug issues [emoji24]. Mine is on Thalatta & it’s sitting outside Freo being fumigated ( for 2 weeks now)! No ETA on resolution yet .....

Just received a reply from the dealership, my Wolfy is on Aniara and just checked marine traffic and it’s currently in port in South Africa. I asked for a VIN but no details. Also, they have upped their quote for the tow bar from $1600 to $1733 fitted

The other thing to check when taking delivery is if you still get the 3 year roadside assist, it’s now 1 year so hopefully you (and I) don’t get stooged on this

No luck, my dealer said the stock controller can't see it on the system and I told him Oscar told me that the car is available.

I gave him until Monday as a deadline otherwise I will stick to a black one because I don't want to waste my time.

Received my VIN number this morning and production date 07NOV. Missed the new features that were supposed to come after week 48. Oh well.
Does anyone know of a free website that checks VIN numbers?
