Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Mirrorlink issue in Tiguan 2017

I am able to connect my HTC One M9 via mirrorlink and then able to access apps, screens and Nav. However, if I drive and then try to access any Car app, it come with error that this app is not certified and doesn't allow that to open. Navigation, music everything not accessible when starts driving.

    Any ideas ?

Sorry. I cannot suggest any remidy. I do know that Samsung smart phone's implementation of mirror link is very 'suss" and therefore do not to place much hope of success.

Ordered: 2017 build date Tiguan 162 TSI Highline with DAP in Tungsten Silver and rear luggage tray. ETA: late April / Early May. I did not have to wait. I took delivery on 11 March 2017.

My guess, and only a guess, is that the nanny "feature" is preventing you from accessing apps while in the move.

A similar system stops you playing videos while the car is in motion. There are ways around it.

You could be right but why all the hype that HTC made mirrorlink compatible. The car mode and every thing. Its so frustrating.
I don't see any point using mirror link if nany feature has will stop even a simple google map nav application.
