What have you done to your Gen2 Tiguan today?

In the two weeks since I took delivery of the Tiguan, I’ve upgraded the boot and glovebox bulbs to led, added an after market boot rubber mat and had the front drivers and passenger windows tinted. A few bits also ordered off Aliexpress (Centre console tray, better led bulb replacements for boot and glovebox). Have been reading into a wireless adapter For android auto but not found any options yet. Am considering the Obdeleven for a few options (precious car had auto lock when walking away which would be great to have). Anyone tried vinyl wrapping the front number plate bracket to help it blend in more or is removal the better option?

Not really as it locks too fast and if your passenger hasnt shut the door fast enough it still locks the rest. You only have to touch the handle which isnt too much of a bother and you can enable horn beep on locking to remind you it locked

Correction it only locks with ALL doors shut

Yeah it should be the pop up washer, but since my car doesn't come with that feature, it just be a dummy..

Hi, I'm Chris from Indonesia. I jut got my Tiguan delivered last month, sadly there is only one variant that available in my country which is the Tiguan Allspace 1.4 TSI so I cannot choose the other specification as the R-Line model. VW Indonesia have to remove some options to reduce the price so it can be accepted by the market, so I decided to do some upgrades by myself to complete the optional stuffs. Here is my Tiguan, hopefully we can share some thoughts and inputs, thanks!

There is still some parts to be acquired to make it looks exactly the R-Line model, such as rear wheel arch, door lower panel, and R-Line steering wheel, maybe anyone have the information where to get this second hand original items?

Thanks for the link. I had tried that way before I saw it...managed to pry it out eventually. I bought the same globe you got and confirm it’s a little short in the 2020 Tiguan Allspace (I bent the contacts inwards a little to get around this).

Well, as we settle into the “new” reality of living with a pandemic, I decided to go out and grab an LED replacement globe for the boot of the Tig.
Wow, what a difference it makes, but now that detachable torch light now looks both very weak and very yellow.

I picked up this unit from Jaycar (360 deg output)
