I think this is more a reflection of the Diesel engine than the DSG/turbo. All the reviewers have noted the Diesel engine is sluggish. I imagine it's because VW is so careful now to make their diesels comply due to Dieselgate, that performance has suffered. Any particular reason why you chose the Diesel engine?

Simply because the previous TDI was so responsive and I wanted the highline level of kit (TDI only). God I hope some after market engine mod can fix this

You can get the VCDS coded to disable the start stop function, i did this for my 2016 Golf R. Will be getting it on the wifes Tiguan too as well as some tail light custom coding

VCDS or OBDEleven will help you code the stop start ... there are forum post on both these tools. OBDeleven: Audi, Volkswagen, Seat & Skoda diagnostic system or Ross-Tech: VCDS

Yes same as MK7 Golf. I got the key cover for the missus Tiguan same as my MK7R

The chrome strip on the door, where it flows to the top of the chromed R Line logo on the fender, looks to be badly aligned. Or is it an optical illusion? Bloody jealous of your car though!

Really nice pics. The true test will be either:
A) getting the car to look like that when it's not brand new
B) see what this car in the Pics looks like after 50,000kms.
