  • It’s not the cause in my car, as I make the normal/sport/economy switch twice per run, from/to work, each day.

Add it to the list of things that vw have in their vehicles that isn’t quite stable(at the least- not explained)

    • It reset by self each 2000km short and long memory and start again taking for net 2000km

        • Changed the mode from comfort to normal. Driving data did not reset. I guess it's the 2000km mark which resets it and not the mode. So there is no way to know the total KM's the car has run till date , assuming I'm resetting the trip everytime I'm refuelling?

          • In driving data I believe there is the total vehicle KM setting, grouped with oil temp etc

            • I deactivated the ACC and total km started popping up in active info display bottom right corner

                • I’m wondering if it is just “mind tricks” or coincidence, but I swear that when I am pulled up at lights with someone in front of me, and start/stop is activated (ie the engine has been turned off) then the car is detecting when the car in front of me is moving away, and restarting as the car in front drive s off, and before I actually start releasing the brake.

seems like a pretty smart (and integrated!) use of the front distance sensors/ACC sensor!

can anyone else confirm the behaviour?

                  • I’ve deactivated my stop/start, but I have a vague memory of the same. Especially when in TJA mode. I’d say it’s plausible.

Seems to happen all the time, not just TJA

”start stop system status” or something like that pops up on the center screen and if you tap the ‘i’ it will tell you why it restarted. Car in front moving off is one of the reasons.

                        • Hi guys, for those who have received their cars can you confirm if MY19.5 or MY20 Tiguan/Tiguan Allspace 162 TSI R-Line come or will come with IQ Drive. It seems very impressive. Is it available in Australia, too? I just now found some more info online so I need to be more specific, so in case of emergency when you don’t put your hands back on steering wheel for a certain period of time ignoring the alert the car gradually stops itself on the side of the road?

Also, how did you find quality of your Allspace compared to the regular one? I hear that the factory in Mexico is the second largest VW factory but just came across videos commenting on their quality control issues especially during the early production stages.

IQ drive is just a rebranding of the current driver assist options in Europe.
