Yes they’re gloss black Suzuka’s.

Actually the black wheels will be easier to repair as they can be touched up with gloss black paint.

The machined faces are a pain as the have to go to a machine shop and get the faces machined then go to a paint shop and get the clear coat reapplied. It’s an expensive process - typically you’ll be up for ~$400 to fix a bit of curb rash on the standard Suzuka rim.

Ahh ... do I go with what I like or what is easier and cheaper to maintain ... decisions decisions

Just do what I did and go with the ones I like (only option at the time though) and just don’t curb them. [emoji3]
