Well does not sound I made a good choice, myself I'm not 100% happy, well to late now. 255 tyres

I don't think they look bad - maybe down the track you could look at respraying them another colour or if you really get over then stick your stock wheels back on.

That's the problem with putting aftermarket wheels on a car it's really hard to get it right by looking at pictures as they often look different in the flesh.

If you don't have a big budget for high end wheels (keeping in mind the stock rims are likely $1200-$1400 a corner) then you usually can't go wrong with OEM+. You can often find Audi 19"/20" rims in suitable offsets for the Tig. It keeps it with a "factory" look but just something a bit different.

I dont mind them don't get me wrong, I was after a deep concave look, when I ordered them I was referring them to a 20x10 wheel. After further investigation it's better to stay with standard dimensions and the 20x8.5 does not have that deep concave. It will grow on me. Pics dont really give it justice either. Thinking my calipers need some colour now.

What's wrong with red, would prefer a big brake kit but bit expensive, not sure what go's with gray. yellow, gold, blue, black, red so many to choose.

I have been thinking about painting mine as well, if I do I'd be tossing up between red and black. Red would tie it back to a GTI while the black would be like a Golf R. Being that I have now made my wing mirrors black then I would probably lean towards that.

good point, but would still be unique as not many tiggys would have coloured calipers. If I wanted to be completely original I could go pink with blue poker dots. Now there is a statement.

Sorry for the double post (http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ml#post1235257) but thought I'd ask here in case someone here might know. What would happen if you put use a spare which is 215/65/16? The rolling circumference is a bit smaller so would that result in issues with the diff/drive train?

These are off a gen1 Tiguan which runs a smaller wheel/tire size. I doubt the seller would want to split the set but you'd want to strip the tire and fit something the right size. I've done something similar in the past and just got a "spare" at the wrecker. Volkstorque are in Lonsdale have a decent selection, though I think you'll find it hard to get one with the tire the right size as I think it's only the new Tiguan that will be running this size. Just get a rim with a worn out tire and replace it with one the right size.
