I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Been chasing a sharp price on the following. 2018 Tiguan 162TSI in Pure White + DAP + R line pack + tow bar + boot liner + tinting.

Did some research of my own and decided to engage a car broker. Cost me $185 for his services. He came back with a best price of $57,420 driveaway. Used this to go into two local dealers to strike a deal. First dealer said he couldn't go under $60K. Got a good sales guy at the second dealer and he came back with a final price of $56,600 driveaway.

Pretty happy with end result. Now the wait.

Well done- I purchased same but with the addition of sunroof and roof bars back in May for $59,500.

Just ordered a white 162 with DAP and Sunroof. Turns out what I wanted is on a ship and should be delivered end Jan. Does anyone know what ship that might be?

If you can get a VIN from the dealer you can track and trace it and that will show you the ship etc . If you search this forum for tracking then the website link is around . My new one has been discharged from the ship which arrived 10/12 but for some complicated reason it still hasn’t left the docks..

Hi guys, Good run over xmas from Gold Coast to Port Stephens for the new Rline. An enjoyable drive to get a feel for the car and work through all the technology and gadgets

I have noticed a resonating hum from driver rear tire well between 95-105kph? Below or above that range and all is quiet. Could it be tire vibration/poor wheel balance? I did pump the tire pressure to 38psi for the trip, too much for the lower profile tyres?

Anyone else notice similar?

Yes I have a similar issue, to me it sounds like the hum is coming from the front wheels, and is very noticeable between 85km and 110km.

I thought it just might be the new tires but its been around for 1,800kms now.

I've booked in to take it to the dealer so they can assess it, I'm really hoping that they will be able to diagnose and fix it, and not just say it's 'regular tire noise' or some rubbish.

Keen to hear if anyone else has had this issue.

Thought that Xmas delivery was a real possibility when it was offloaded on 10/12, but no updates since then.
Some cars from previous ship went to 'delivered ' status only 3 days after being offloaded.

Some cars from previous ship went to 'delivered ' status only 3 days after being offloaded.

My dealer is hopeless... and clearly either can't be bothered checking for me, or doesn't know how, or doesn't want me to know... but I made a call to AAT and found out that yes, the vehicles are being held up due to a quarantine issue, they might be another week there and then will be released, and processed.. so i expect it will be 2-3w more depending on where you are.. and they are out in the weather.....
