Speaking of “learning the tech”. My old car would dip the mirrors when reversing so you can view the kerb. I found this as an option under mirror settings but doesn’t appear to work. Has anyone got their mirrors dipping in reverse?

U need to have the little dial on the drivers door switched to the correct setting
Who else has fitted the Lakin full Euro sized bracket to their Tiguan.
Brighton Volkswagen have stated that it is not possible to fit the front Lakin bracket as
1) the holes do no match
2) there are no threaded inserts in the bumper
Thanks to everybody that replied.
I got the car back today and fitted the Lakin bracket myself. It was a perfect fit with the factory holes and with the plugs provided it was a very easy job to fit.
***** happens sometimes and it's how you address it that really matters. Brighton Volkswagen were very good dealing with the issue and repaired the screw holes in the bumper.

You will see there is a pin in the centre of plug, find a drill bit the same size and drill it out or a screw driver the same size and push the pin out, some are hard to push out , so l just drilled the hard ones.

Thanks mate, used a 4mm bit to drill out the centre pin on all 5 plugs then levered out with a flat head screwdriver....easy though slightly daunting to take a drill near a new car!
Re the passenger mirror dip in reverse, I had to program the level of dip I wanted the first time before it would work, then discovered you have to start driving forward again before it goes back up.
On a separate note, does anyone know if the Aussie R-Line spec included wireless charging for iPhones etc?

It is a bit scary drilling into a new car, but it pretty easy to get off[emoji106]
How is everyone working out what ship their car is on? I got the 'I'm on a boat!' email from VW but it didn't have anything about what ship or any kind of tracking details.

Ask your Dealer for a NADCON screenshot. Should include both VIN (which can be used to track) and ship name.
Just ordered 110tsi Comfortline in Indium grey with DAP, mats, rear luggage mat and Tint for $40k. Delivery not till April though. Turns out it will be a MY18.5... The difference? lots of USB ports front and rear....
Philip posted out another set of hardware that went missing at the dealership so I could fit the front plate.
Tiggi is now complete.
Hopefully things improve for Philip so he can continue to provide a great product backed by excellent customer service. If anybody is looking for custom number plate brackets I can highly recommend Lakin.

Lakin plates appears to be currently not operating, is there another source for them?
Unfortunately, Philip has been unwell recently so has temporarily stopped making / selling his Lakin plate brackets.
If you have a have a wait before your car arrives hopefully he will reopen for business in the new year. AFAIK he does not have any resellers. There are other similar products out there but I doubt they match the quality of Lakin.
