Had missed call from dealer last week. He left a message advising that delivery still on track for December, and pickup should be late January. (162/R-line/DAP)

Order date was late May for those interested...

Does anyone know what is the average time from dock to delivery?
Or better how long was your wait from dock to delivery experience?
I'm in Melbourne if that makes any difference

Mine was really quick, only 8 business days from landing in Port Melbourne to driving it home and that included some extras fitted to the car.

3 weeks and counting and the clowns at the dealership tell me there's nothing they can do it's the transport company holding the car and they can't give me an estimated delivery date.
Their tracking says the car is released meaning that all compliance work if any is competed.

Do they have to have a truckfull for one dealership before they move their cars ?

That's annoying, you'd think once they have a full truck they'd head off even if it meant going via different dealerships... Ships arrive every few days so you'd think it wouldn't take to long to fill a truck, there is only 5 or 6 cars per truck I'd think?

Yep tell me about it.
Will have no car by the end of the next week if the Tigg is not delivered. Company car due for return and not prepared to pay $60 a day for every day that im late.
Really losing patience with them given that i have explained all that many times.
I just hope when it does finally gets delivered it's worth it.

It seems the dealers only develop a sense of urgency when the end of the month approaches and they are chasing a quota.

I got a call today the car is ready for transport .
Expected to arrive for pre delivery tomorrow or monday and then to me by Thursday.
But again not committing to a firm date yet as they do not want to disappoint me [emoji35]

Yeah i tried mate ,they used the "nothing on contract "card .
I think i pestered them enough this week to get of their arse and get the car moving.
I was really close in cancelling and getting a new gen cx 5 from across the road sitting in the showroom

Also got my "I'm built' email over the weekend. For my White 162 R-line with DAP, from an original order date of March 11th, that's basically 6 months to get to this point. Now to see if I can get a VIN # from the dealer, so the vessel stalking can begin.

Did you get your VIN ? It looks like Brighton VW is otherwise occupied and hasn't responded to my request for the VIN #. In fact they haven't been in touch for over 4 months...
