I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

R-Line has always been available with any of the colours. But with R-Line you cannot choose your own interior. You have to have the interior which comes with the package (Black Crystal Gray).

No it wasnt, could only get white, black, grey or silver on MY17. Would have seriously considered red if it was an option at the time.

Interesting. My one brain cell is telling me that when I was looking for a new car, I used the configurator, red r-line, but couldn't get the storm grey interior. I think the cell needs a rest.

I was in Melbourne for the Queens birthday long weekend in our white R-Line. Spent most of our time in the Eastern suburbs.

Family road trip.

As a side note, and after hours of freeway driving I had a chance to play with all the goodies. It was, without doubt, the easiest and most pleasurable long distance driving experience I have ever had. Anally retentive and regressive attitudes towards speed micromanagement in Victoria aside.

The ACC and ALG work a treat. Apple CarPlay shows much potential but is let down by a lack of third party apps and poor implementation of what's available.

Spotify is there, but is hopeless to use compared to the iPhone alternative.

WAZE IS THE APP THAT WOULD BE MOST USEFUL BUT IS SADLY NOT SUPPORTED. ARE YOU LISTENING APPLE?

Overall though it's a lovely vehicle and definitely worth the wait. You won't be disappointed.

Glad to hear as I'm waiting a while. Car has just been loaded onto the boat. Hopefully I'll get it early Sept, that makes it an 8 month wait...

Also Waze is awesome, not many users in SA though.

Hahaa, yes I live in Sydney, saw another grey rline in burwood as well.

Missed an opportunity to check out a white rline tonight on Eastlink/Franganastan Fwy. Wasn't quick enough to react and have a good look at it whilst it passed me. Cruised passed quickly and I got stuck behind a truck so wasn't able to catch it and take a closer look. I reckon the first time I'll be able to take a close look at an rline is when my delivery time rolls around

Hey Popeye, looking back at your earlier posts and the Nadcon screenshot from last month reckon your car should be built by now. Handover to sales was last week so the VIN should exist now, give the dealership a call and ask for it. Then you can start checking the ship tracking site. Reckon it'd still be a few weeks from leaving Bremerhaven though.

Personally once it was on the ship the dealership supplied all the info, I did get the VIN earlier from the sales guy, but the delivery person was the one who contacted with the ship details.

Went to the dealership today and was told that my car should dock in Melbourne on the 17th of August with ET delivery to me first week of September.
Is there any way to find out what ship could be on with just the ETA in Melbourne?

The person i spoke to couldn't give me an updated nadcon print out but was able to confirm that my order is a week ahead of original estimate .

Having a look on the tracking site there are no ships currently due into Melbourne on the 17/8 but this changes all the time.

Closest seems to the Tomar leaving Bremerhaven tomorrow and arriving on 19/8.



Pester the dealership for the VIN then you can track it yourself and see what ship it's on.

Highly likely that it would be I'd reckon, dealership would be able to tell you though. All that info is in their Nadcon system, just ask them.

After tracking the ship down past Spain, along and around Africa, across the Idian ocean and into Fremantle it then disappeared until it popped up again today in Victorian waters.. yippee
