Interestingly I ordered mine at the end of Feb. I got my 'ordered' email on 21/3. So it would be very interesting to know how they handle the manufacturing queue.
It's made me cross-eyed a few times thinking about it. There would be so many variables to consider, wonder if they batch certain specs and do them at once? Then build slots seem to come into it as well with some dealerships getting more cars allocated to them as they turn over more.

Also need to factor in the shipping loads, as shipping companies would want to load ship to be full.

Although TheTig said, mine will arrive soon and I can let my mind rest, I will still have to wait after my car arrives at the dealer, probably about 5 weeks. I am still overseas. First new car in 14 years and the excitement is showing

I have begun doubting if I want my new Tig. They are becoming so common. Went for a walk today and saw 3 on the road, and that is in Kunming China
I get an almost daily dose of a grey r-line just up the road from work, walk past it most days and have a gander. Don't see many on the roads yet, still hardly any r-lines, maybe once a week I'd see one driving the other way. Still haven't seen a white one up close which I'm getting.

I think my Tig will be reasonably 'unique'. Yes, Ruby Red is a standard colour, but not with the Storm Grey interior. The grey interior will lighten up the interior (no sunroof, I am not a fan). I have photos of the grey interior on a white Tig if anyone is interested.

Happy to see/ hear that people are eventually getting closer to getting delivery of their long awaited Tiggys.😊
On the other hand i haven't heard from my dealership nor i got any of the email updates other than the welcome link which stopped working after a couple of days .
So typically when do people get an update on their orders as in what stages of the order ?

Hey Popeye, looking back at your earlier posts and the Nadcon screenshot from last month reckon your car should be built by now. Handover to sales was last week so the VIN should exist now, give the dealership a call and ask for it. Then you can start checking the ship tracking site. Reckon it'd still be a few weeks from leaving Bremerhaven though.
Personally once it was on the ship the dealership supplied all the info, I did get the VIN earlier from the sales guy, but the delivery person was the one who contacted with the ship details.

Strange how different dealers deal with their customers.
I have 2 new cars on order the Tiggy been one .The second is of a different brand and bought 2 months later and already had the salesperson call twice in 3 weeks giving me details on my order.Not a dealers stock either direct factory order .
Interesting, I see with the MY18 change you can now order R-Line pack on a Ruby Red Tig, just picked it using the Aus VW configurator.
R-Line has always been available with any of the colours. But with R-Line you cannot choose your own interior. You have to have the interior which comes with the package (Black Crystal Gray).
