I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Saw two car carrier loads of shiny new tiguans heading up Mount ousley this morning on the way to Sydney presumably off the Grand pearl.
Mine was on this carrier and is currently at the dealers getting ready for pick up next week😉

GLADBACH.....but i dont find it much different from 132kw at all.

The 197kw Subaru Levorg felt like it had so much more power, well more than a mere 35kw anyways...

I have a suspicion that they've tuned the 162TSI so that it has a very linear delivery of power, which, while making the ride feel smooth, takes away from that "pushing in the back of the seat" feeling in comparison to having a burst of torque and power lower in the rev range that tapers off (which I'm used to in my 147kw Jetta for example).

I think it will the first car that I own that I do a stage 1 tune for.

I'm not sure yet. I'd defiantly wait until after the first service, which would be after around 9 months for me. I'd want to make sure that I don't have a lemon before making a mod!

For the guys that have not received ther 162, from the date you ordered to the day vw got back to you with a build date what was the time frame?

As for me I ordered mine 5 1/2 weeks ago and have heard not a peep from my sales guy, I do feel he is a useless life form but keen to know what others have experienced.

Mine was ordered just on a week ago and after being told it's being built, which turned out to be incorrect once I received a Nadcon screenshot. The upshot, I don't have a build date yet. Was advised late July delivery when ordering so not sure now. Just have to wait for more info. Give the sales guy a call.

I ordered in late December and only this week received a VIN. I assume the car is now either being built or sitting in some holding yard awaiting transport.

Was told late May delivery but hoping for earlier in May if the planets align.

tigger 162 almost exactly 5 months to the day. August to January. I think our order was a little ahead of the big jump in demand.

Edit: to answer second part my sales person kept me up to date. Never saw anything official from VW but got regular calls/emails re progress/status.

Waiting delivery.. placed order in first week in Jan and delivery was planned for May but now delayed a month to June. Dealer kept and keeps me updated.. had my build info about a week after placing order. Told him I don't want regular updates and just once a month for now. Pretty good service

Ordered mine late December and build starts April 17.

I ordered mine 1st week of Jan, I just called the dealer & theey said that the system says that it will be handed over to production on the 25th March. Does that mean thats when it will start to be built?

It seems to take about 3-4 weeks after being handed over to production until it leaves the plant.

Thanks, dealer just called me with more info:
25th March - Commence Build
25th April - Car leaves factory
8th May - Car leaves Germany
20th June - Car arrives
Early-Mid July - Handover

Originally it was a mid May delivery...

That sucks. Mine was originally a Jan delivery, was then Jan-Feb but was pushed back to Mar-Apr. At least I know it's on the ship now so there shouldn't be further delays.
