I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

I tested this car, its at Doncaster it will be available for purchase in a month after they get a replacement for it and you can bet it will have more then 1500km when that happens. I got the same car new for $60k expected sometime after June. Low prices for these you won't see anymore the demand is huge.

I order same too from ******* for $56k in December , and ***** the sales guy told the other day he can't do low prices anymore.

Initially told July delivery.

Advice yesterday indicated now expected late May.

If late May is correct, when can I expect contact from VW with one of those "I'm built" emails?

Yeah. As soon as your car is built you will get a VIN. About 1-2 weeks after this happens your car will be loaded onto a boat. You can track your car a couple of days after the boat has left the port.

My car exited the production plant on the 27/1 arrived at the ports on the 1/2 and from the documentation will leave the port tomorrow (8/2) from there it is a 42 day trip across the ocean and will be in Melbourne on the 22/3. Add 2-3 weeks before you can pick it up from the dealer.

About 1.5 weeks after I got the I'm built email I got the VIN number from my dealer. Then I was able to track the ship.

Without a doubt the best looking small SUV on the market.
Proportions on all models are spot on.

I'm not in the market for one of these right now, but have no doubt I will be in a year or so to replace the current family wagon (Volvo V50).
Will try to convince my wife that a blocky GTI on stilts (or just some platform heels really) is a good buy.

I took one for a test drive, and there were no DSG farts, but I did get a crackle from the exhaust when I gave it a bit.
