External park position lock micro switch 2018 VW Tiguan

G'day everyone,
I have the "leave vehicle in park position "fault on my dash. I've bought the black external micro switch to match my black selector unit. Had it wired and proceeded to mount it on top of selector unit, but it won't fit/ mount correctly. They say there are only two types, black or white. I bought the black one, part number 5Q0713128A, but it's not listed to fit the Tiguan, and I really can't find any external micro switch that is listed to fit 2018 VWTiguan. Does anyone have knowledge of this micro switch failure fix, particularly with 2018 VWTiguan .

This is likely to be the version you need - but would be wise to check with VAGParts before ordering it. The Skoda Kodiaq is basically a Tiguan with different clothes on, so seems logical to me.

One thing that is always very helpful when asking for advice, is to not only state the make and model of your car which you have done, but the engine/spec you have (eg diesel/petrol, 2.0 litre etc etc), because the microswitch will vary depending on which gearbox your car has, and the gearbox will vary depending on which spec Tiguan you have. So it's hard to give any useful advice without knowing the full picture.

Thanks for the reply. VWTiguan 2.0 turbo TSI CZPA engine code, DQ500DSG. White one is definitely out, mine being black selector. I had suspicions about the one you listed, and have been waiting 3 days for VAG to reply to this same inquiry I sent to them. So, I'll give them a rev up.
