Bluetooth calls not working

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

Just picked up an MY20 Tiguan Allspace, and while Bluetooth _audio_ works just fine (eg: can stream music from Apple Music through it), Bluetooth _calls_ are not. If I try to make a call through the stereo system - eg: to voicemail - I get no audio, just a quiet crackling through the speakers.

I've tried deleting and re-pairing the phone a couple of times and it makes no difference. Also tried restarting the phone and stereo in between deleting and pairing.

It's an iPhone 12 Pro, IOS 15.

Try it with another phone (eg friend/partner or an old phone). If the problem persists then its back to VW for warranty diagnosis.

Ive had the bluetooth microphone in my Mk7 GTI fail, meaning I could hear people on the phone but they could not hear me - but have not had the issue you are describing. In my case, a new microphone fixed my issue.

Tried the wife's phone as well and no joy.

Also confirmed both of them work fine with the RCD340 in my old GTI so it's definitely a problem with the Tig's head unit.
