We have ordered a a new Tiguan 147 Elegance that was unsold on the VW website.
Signed the deal 2 weeks ago.
The dealer is in a regional area and we are in Metro so we have paid for the door to door delivery to us.
The vehicle was delivered from the Melbourne holding yard (Prixcar) and delivered to the dealership last Friday.
Wife and I are impatiently waiting the call so I rang the dealer today to get an update.
Apparently VW Australia have put a hold on delivery because a software update is required and the dealer cannot legally register the vehicle (in VIC) until the update is installed.
Has anyone heard of VW Aust doing this for any vehicles (inc Tiguan) or am I being spun a yarn?
