  • Auto On Off Disable button not working

    Hi All
I have just bought a second hand Tiguan, 2017 Allspace.

What I have noticed is that the disable auto on off button doesn’t work on pressing, or if it does only holds for a few stops then reverts.

Is anyone familiar with this problem, or any fixes?

Is it an Allspace or SWB Tiguan?
    Allspace came out in 2018

Maybe the previous owner changed the settings on the stop/start?

Nope it’s definitely on. The button is intermittent. And sometimes when you can disable, it lasts a street light then it goes back to auto on off.

Faulty switch maybe Either that or check the battery level. Strange things happen with VW when the battery is on its way out.

Wierd huh. Measured 12.6V on the battery so seems okay. Will probably take it somewhere to get checked out as it is really annoying.

              Any recommendations for Syd?

Yeah auto stop/start doesn't operate when the car senses the battery state of charge is not sufficient. This is also the case when it needs to run the A/C on full it won't stop the engine because the load on the battery would be too much.

mate, auto stop/start works. thats the problem. what doesnt work is the button that disables it for the remainder of the ride.

As an update FYI - I took it to VW Service.

Fault wire into the button caused it to not turn on/off the auto on/off disable.

                    Quick fix!
