I understand the issue. If you select a 2020 Tiguan Australia does not come up under Discover Pro but if you choose a 2019 Tiguan as the vehicle Australia appears for Discover Pro. All good, thanks mate.

Why did you put 2020 in as yours is earlier than that isnt it

I think just select the year your car is built. That’s what in did. You still get the latest maps

Downloaded the latest version P90

However I can't squeeze it on a 32GB USB by 500 MB and I don't have a larger USB

As there are many sub directories that have folders for 'other countries', can any files in these other country folders be deleted without affecting the checksum check when you load the USB in the Tiguan ?

NO NO you cant alter it Has been tried and wont work what are you unzipping it with and what machine A PC or a Crac.

The properties of the unzipped folder is 29.1 GB and if different you are doing something wrong

Yes I had it on 2 different micro SD cards and a 32g Standard Sd card and a 32gb USB stick

WHAT ARE YOU USING TO DO THIS


Am recopying it to a 32gb card now will know at7pm if its OK

What program are you extracting it with? Winzip, Win RAR or what

and what file system is the SD card formatted in FAt32, eXFat or NTFS

Ok have just finished copying it again to a 32gb SD card. Card had 29.8 free space and map is on it and has left 658mb free space after it finished so no reason why you shouldn't get the same.

used space is 31,171,051,008 bytes

I copied the MIB1 AND MIB2 and Metaininfo2.txt to the SD card

HAVE PUT IT IN CAR AND IT WORKS

Tried just now with WinRar

Extract with 7Zip and WinRAR both had the same file size result (below)

Before you copy the files to the USB, on your "PC Hard Drive" after you unzip can you select Properties -> Size (xx bytes) and screen shot what is the size in bytes ?

Alright do this Go up to the link at the start of the thread and download that as i am using that and when I go to the VW map it is the size you say.

So download the Skoda one and try it as it is slightly smaller for some reason but works perfectly

I did download direct from the VW site the P90 version, not sure what you are asking ?

For the VW P90 version, I don't need the the zipped file size but the 'unzipped' file size with WinZip 'on the PC hard drive' (as the USB has different file byte allocations) so I can compare the file size difference.

I prefer to stick with the VW version as I don't want an issue that could have the warranty claim denied on the Discovery Pro.

For the VW P88 version, unzipped file size is:

I have been using them for 2years and shows the same info in your MMI as the VW one because it is the same thing with a different file name. Other than that you can buy a 64gb card for less than $20. Cant help more than that

OK 0930 this morning I have unzipped the VW P90 direct to my 32gb SD card It goes on it ok no problems

EG 29.2 GB 31,371,034,624 bytes on card

658MB free on card

So dont know why you cant get it to work

I have given up. Could do it on a PC as no Win Zip or RAR. My car has a recall for the sunroof in early January so I will get VW to do it for me.
