Having real trouble loading this update on to a 32 GB SD card. I run Macs and try as I might it refuses to load. Something to with the way the file packed. Is there a step by step procedure for us on the dark side. ( Mac users).

To put it mildly Macs are crap at unzipping stuff As above use what it says or on the VW page for "Mac" users and it might work

Tried this all morning! Downloaded keka and already had Clean my Drive. Unpacked the .7z file in keka and loaded it on to my 32GB SD card. Cleaned the file which removed “junk” and put the SD card in to my infotainment slot 1. I accessed the system and hit the update. It said looking for update files, then gave me a error message. Tried three time, no joy. I then deleted the SD card and unpacked the file using keka on my desktop. Loaded it on to me SD card and cleaned it. Tried to put in to the infotainment system, more error messages.
The main file name reads - P90_N60S...3_ROW_NT and within that file are Mib1, Mib2. There are loads of country maps within those two files and presumably you have to load all of them. Or does the system just take what it needs for Australia? Anyway I have lost the will to live! HELP!!!

Ah the joys of being on the dark side Us normal people end up with

Put it in car and wait about 30 secs and it should find it.

Take the file to a friend with a real computer and unzip it on that.

Yes it loads all the maps as it is REST OF WORLD after all and picks the correct one for where the vehicle is located and is the MMI variation installed in the car

You should not alter the files in nay way as they wont work then.

I use WIN RAR without problems on a PC

What is your desktop Is it a Mac also as if its a PC you would use Winzip It works ok I d/loaded the VW one last night and un RAR'd it to an Sd card and its fine

It is Europe. I don't see Australia in the list ?

Rubbish there are maps for bothDiscover media and Discover pro on there dated 23/11/2020 I DONT USE DISCOVER CARE AND if you do REFRESH IT before looking

I understand the issue. If you select a 2020 Tiguan Australia does not come up under Discover Pro but if you choose a 2019 Tiguan as the vehicle Australia appears for Discover Pro. All good, thanks mate.
