Hi all, just need some advice on buying lowered springs on my 2018 R-line Tig. Any feelings between Eibach or H&R lower springs, is one better than the other ?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Suspension upgrade - Eibach vs H&R

H&R is a slightly lower drop.
Eibach is less drop but a progressive spring (soft at top and then firms up).
It comes down to personal preference. Some people sacrifice the ride to go lower. Others will opt for a more conservative drop for more comfortable ride.
I've run Eibachs in the last couple of Tiguans and would rate them highly.
I know particularly in the Gen1 a lot of guys that put in H&R's ended up taking them out as the ride ended up too firm. I haven't heard this being a complaint of the gen2 but perhaps that's also due to the fact that a lot of people are running the adaptive suspension.

Had the Eibach sports springs installed yesterday lowered about 25mm until they settle I suppose, however the big difference is in the handling of the car, a huge improvement on the original. I used to think the front end was bottoming when going over speed humps at a slow speed and mentioned this to VW service their reply was its normal and nothing loose, now it is much smoother no bottoming sounds and the general ride is very smooth. The body roll is a vast improvement I would not have expected it. Very happy with it.

Yes 100% the Eibach springs run smoother than stock. They take out all the little sharp bumps.
The only downside is if you are in comfort mode you can hit the bump stops if you attack a spoon drain too aggressively. I may have done this once... [emoji51]
