2020 162 TSI engine bay

See my picture below, seems like I'm missing a VW logo or the TSI wording. Or is this the norm?


I have a 2020 162 TSI R Line.

That's a completely new head cover, never seen that before. They all came with this (without out the mention of R, of course).

2020 162 TSI engine bay

This has affected some other MY20 models from a certain date too, like the Golf GTI

Other minor changes that happened to the Golf was removing the perforations in the rear leather seats. Not sure if that affects any other models.

EDIT: just checked Carsales and I could be mistaken on the GTI but it was something I had heard

would happily swap my 2018 one for the revised cover design - seems like there's more space around the corner chamfer for aftermarket intake elbows

You can have mine from a 2008 TDI. I haven't put it on since I attached the Provent.
Much rather the connectors and rail lines for sure.

i'm surprised it took VW this long to realise that very few people are going to be showing off the engine bay of a tiguan at car shows.
and even fewer people would look under the hood without knowing the make of the car.

That’s a bit of a downgrade for me. Same car obviously but don’t love it.
