Here is a list of the 31 I have done to my car . I accumulated credits by logging in each day for several weeks and got 6 a day so i could use the apps when needed . Now still have nearly 700.

Due to VW locking access to modules in 2020 models these probably/possibly wont work on them

5 is easy to do

14 no odo is different to speedo Am yet to run my two cars over a test course to see if it get any difference

15 allows you to rip a CD into the Media AFAIK have it but havent tried it Will do tomorrow

Ok heres how to do No 5 Go to Menu/Media/ Settings/ Manage Jukebox.

Put CD in and it will read it/select source(CD)obviously/go to bottom of screen select import and wait as it does it Takes about 7 minutes.

It wouldnt do an Audio DVD with 5.1 sound on it

I assume you mean easy with OBD11 as opposed to just doing it via the main Discover Pro Screen ?

Side note, how much did the OBD11 cost to buy ?

Yes it isnt in the screen at all as it activates it in the internal coding

I paid $130 second hand a year ago for a V1 Here is the new one and you DO need the Pro one to do coding

You also need a Android smartphone to run it newer than Android 5.0

There are cheaper other makes but only that one will do what we want

As I will probably only use the device once not to make some minor mods (disable nag screen etc), not sure if its worth it for me.

As the story typically goes, it's hard to stop at just one - they make it too easy to modify further and to stop after only one.

Credits can be obtained for free by watching ads every day. If you get the pro version, you don't need credits, as you can do the long-coding rather than the apps, which automate the coding process and consume credits to do so.

Most apps only use 10 credits and they are about $30 for 75 I think.
I spent several weeks logging on every day and let the ads run (30sec each) and you get a credit for loggin in and 5 for the 5 ads I have about 680 atm and i rarely use them

The thing from Jaycar is a fault reader nothing else

Down load the OBDELEVEN app from the Google playstore and have a look through it

Ask on here for some one in your area to do it for you for a slab or something. Each one only takes 5mins at the most

When you work out postage etc its no cheaper

Same with mine. I assume its the right door switch that does this so not sure what this app does ...

How does the Dynamic Light Assist mod work without the right spec of hardware?

My understanding was this system partially masks the main beam of the headlight to avoid dazzling oncoming cars, I didn’t think this could simply be activated without the right type of headlights.

Light Assist on the other hand is an automatic on/off for the high beam using the camera detecting oncoming cars.

Correct on both counts Without the correct headlights DLA wont work


All work on top spec models like mine so I cant vouch for others Definitely wont work with Halogens

In investigating a my20 purchase I checked the obd11 official word on this and they say that VW has told them they will have access to my20+ cars but they are waiting on VW providing them access/process docs to do so. To me that sounded vague as hell, and after them not providing any real updates for many months I would suggest that people count on these not working any time soon.

Actually has been quite a few new apps been added in recent weeks but even the simplest ones appear not to work on MY20's
