  • Stolen fuses & manual, details of fuse voltages for Tiguan. 2019 Wolfsburg

A BMW and Jaguar were recently stolen from my underground parking garage across from my car, I (now, stupidly) had my dashcam setup in parking mode to flash the LED.

Turns out the thiefs having seen a flashing LED, decided to steal my dashcam, manuals, log book and fuses from my 2019 Wolfsburg Tiguan with no other damage to the car.

Can anyone please tell me what voltage fuses I am missing as pictured? Interestingly, the car still works 100% fine with the missing fuses.

        very particular theft...

wondering if perhaps they've previously stolen a tiguan, but it didn't have the manual and logbook, so they're going to manipulate your logbook to sell off their stolen one?

Not sure, but *zero* signs of forced entry. Police weren't even bothered trying to take prints, they knew it was a professional job and wouldn't find anything.

Even the removal of the fuse holders was done with care, there was no obvious signs of them ripping the cables out and my trim was even put back.

So the full story is, I was driving out of the parking garage when noticed my dashcam was missing. I thought the mount/glue had failed and was rustling around looking for it but couldn't find it.

As I was driving out, there was a couple of police loitering around. So I pulled up and spoke to them. As soon as I said "... so this is weird, but I just noticed my dash-cam missing" they asked where I was parked and as we walked to my spot they said a couple of luxury cars had just been stolen adjacent to my car. They must had seen my flashing LED (or already knew about it), and removed any evidence of their misadventures.

I had the DR900S + Dual Cellink, but hadn't cloud connected it yet. The ironic thing is, I had everything ready to go to have the permeant hotspot setup + NAS solution to automatically pull footage once I parked, but was too lazy to move it down into the garage.

Initially the responding police thought the log books being stolen was so the thief could get a genuine replacement key, and come back and steal the car.

I ended up speaking with investigators a few days later who specialised in luxury car thefts and they said not to worry about them coming back. They had stolen the log books because, yeap, they'll target/steal another identical model to mine and then re-plate it with my VIN and sell it with complete service history, details and a non-stolen VIN.

I ended up calling Volkswagen Australia and they've apparently "noted" my call. I also reported it to insurance just in case.

Btw, this was in Canberra City.

              That right there, is INSANE.
The lengths that these criminals go to...

So no sign of forced entry.

They obviously have the ability to code keys etc. to get in and out...

              Scary in all honesty...

Not good. Will VW replace the log books for you ? Are they covered under insurance ?

They haven’t necessarily taken any fuses, not all the spots are populated in all cars.

Well given the OP said the car is working fine, they can’t be that critical....

edit, just had a look in mine. The alarm fuse isn’t there (makes sense, Oz market Tiguan doesn’t have an alarm).
the F35 is there though. Pretty impressive for the thieves to be that meticulous.
