I have purchased a Tiguan interstate and need to give evidence of the engine number. Is it possible to take a picture of the engine number without removing parts, for example with the use of a borescope?

Yes, I need proof with a photo taken by a licensed vehicle repairer, but according to a Volkswagen dealer, some parts need to get remove. I would like to know if it is possible to take a photo without removing parts.
