  • Hole/missing panel under rear bumper

I notice this hole under my rear bumper and it looks like there is supposed to be a panel in this space. Is this normal or has something come off my car?

It hasn't been cut. There are two clips on the inside edge that look like a panel would clip into it. Can someone have a look at theirs and confirm? MY2018 Tiguan 162 rline wolfsburg

have a look at post #4 of the exhaust thread. The Hole looks normal.

The clips in photos are for the Easy Open Trunk sensors that reside around the hole perimeter

Perfectly normal Saves them hacking a hole to put a towbar in and saves them $15 a car LOL

All R Lines and Wolfies are like that. Just wash it and you wont notice it

Then my R-Line isn't normal, as I don't have it.

Its does look very neat and like it's supposed to have a filler panel in there if you don't have a tow bar.

This is from the 2016 (I don't have a listing for 2017 onwards), I would guess there is an equivalent part for the 2017+?? Although google and vwpartscenter don't seem to be turning up anything.

On the other side, all the Golf Cabriolets have a removable panel for a tow bar despite there being no option or parts available in Australia.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Sorry, i'm completely mistaken - large gaping hole is present. Unsure how i've missed it up till now.
