Haldex Oil Change

Has anyone had this done? I saw this and wondered what other owners had found as my car is coming up for a 3rd service. According to what I have read it is not VW's practise to clean the filter when the oil is changed unless you pay to have it done and specifically ask for it.

Hi All I had my car in at an Independent Specialist today to get the Haldex unit serviced. The car is not driven overly hard and spends most of its time motorway cruising. I don't drive it like miss daisy though. It's done just over 25,000 miles now. I expected the Haldex gauze filter to have...

It does seem to be an item in the VAG (and others) cars that isn’t fully understood. The joys of outsourcing in manufacturing.

I’d think that 20000-30000 oil/filter change/clean/replace would be best practice.

It looks like vw do a 45/60km oil change- but no filter clean/replace.
