Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 19" Wheels - Snow chain options

    Hi all,

I'm trying to work through what my snow chain options are for my new Tiguan. I believe the Wheel Size is 235/50 R19.

Any suggestions on what are on offer and where I could get them?

    Thanks Heaps!

If you have the 162 Rline then you’ll have 20” Suzuka’s with 255/40R20.

There’s a separate thread about this car and snow as I don’t think there’s s good solution for this wheel in the snow.

And you would be right... Shows how much I know about my car and why I couldn't find anything on here about them. I was looking at the accessories on the VW website, the only wheels which looked similar were the Aucklands.

      Thanks again

Have a read of the other thread. I think it depends which snow fields you visit and the various requirements for types of snow chains.
