My wonderful journey with vw continues. Sigh.
Yesterday morning the unit decided to develop 2 faulty lines of dead pixels, through the mid-section if the display.
Called the dealer as I was driving to work, promised a call back. Never happened, so called them again at 4:45 to book in.
I know that they’re going to have it a whole day, so nothing, send me home again. Then I’ll have to rebook in to they ‘can send data to vw’ (also will take the whole day) then go back a third time to get it swapped out. Likely discover they’ve scratched some trim pieces, or damaged a clip or 3, then go back again to have that looked at, etc, etc.
Along with the 4 or 5 hire car issues I’ve had(each had issues of their own), I’m never coming back to this brand. There is too much ‘bad’ offsetting the nice potential. such a pity. Bring on 2021.
If this car was priced the same as the Koreans or mid-level Japanese, I’d think it’s a fair compromise (perceived quality and solidarity vs several ****ty flaws) vs the opposition being a bit cheap feeling, but more consistent.
Oh well, live and learn.
