No, I wouldn't think so.
It's a different designed housing.

Active Info Display (Polo, T-Roc)
The Polo and T-Roc are the first Volkswagen models to offer the new-generation Active Info Display as optional equipment. The Volkswagen interface designers have consistently continued the development of the Active Info Display (11.7-inch screen diagonal) and the high-grade graphics system (133 dpi /resolution 1,280 x 480 pixels) and have taken the range of functions to the next level. The screen is slightly smaller than on the first generation and therefore offers better graphic performance, higher pixel density, greater brightness and contrast, more intensive colors and fewer conventional control lamps. Using a view button on the multi-function steering wheel, the driver can also switch quickly and easily between the three basic layouts.
DPI Calculator / PPI Calculator
Display size: 10.96" × 4.11" = 45in² (27.83cm × 10.43cm = 290.35cm²) at 116.84 PPI, 0.2174mm dot pitch, 13652 PPI²
Active Info Display (Golf, Tiguan, Passat, Arteon)
All the instruments are realized virtually using software on a 12.3-inch Active Info Display. The resolution of 1,440 x 540 pixels allows all details to be presented in an extremely precise and elegant way. You can use five different information profiles to change the type of information displayed and the graphics in certain areas. Drivers can choose between the profiles Classic, Consumption & Range, Efficiency, Driver Assistance and Navigation. The Navigation profile shows a good example of the interactive structure of the Active Info Display. If this profile is selected, the speedometer and rev counter move to the edges of the screen to provide space for the navigation map in the centre. If necessary, information on driving, navigation and assistance functions can be integrated in the graphic areas of the rev counter and speedometer. Data such as telephone contact photos or CD covers can also be presented on the Active Info Display.
DPI Calculator / PPI Calculator
Display size: 11.52" × 4.32" = 49.74in² (29.25cm × 10.97cm = 320.9cm²) at 125.03 PPI, 0.2031mm dot pitch, 15634 PPI²
"The screen is slightly smaller than on the first generation and therefore offers better graphic performance, higher pixel density"
Not sure how VW can make this statement as by my calculations the older AID has as greater PPI

I think I would prefer the newer one if it's more customisable.
In the current version that I have, there's a couple of combinations that would be perfect but are in two different views, eg speed and distance to empty in the centre if the guages. Otherwise I have to adjust whenever I use the sat nav2018 Allspace 162TSI R Line
