Rear interior light switches illuminated?

Are they meant to be? Have an allspace highline and they seem to have the laser etched ‘bits’ like all the other (illuminated) buttons in my car, but the two roof mounted interior light switches don’t illuminate.

Are you able to turn them on from the roof console? there should be 4 push buttons just above the rear view mirror, the back two control the rear map lights.

This is for the actual switches the rear passengers operate, rather than the ones the driver has access to.

I have Allspace with sunroof so rear passenger interior light is above the rear window.
The switch is not illuminated - I suspect a cost cutting exercise.
There is a switch for the rear interior lights next to the front interior light switches in the overhead central section between the driver and front passenger, and that is illuminated
