Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition - Photos

I posted in the other Tiguan thread, but my Wolfie really belongs here. Dealer delivered it to the house on Thursday avo. It was on the stink bug infested Thalatta. Dealer has told me they are sold out, and no more Wolfies available in Aus.

Was ordered mid Nov with original delivery date of 28 Dec.


Havig stepped ‘down’ from an X5 I am amazed at the finish and size of this vehicle. So many standard features that are extra on the Beemer and the interface is so much more intuative. For half the price!

Coffeegirl, a few questions:

1. Are you planning on any mods or enhancements to yr car?
2. Will you be drinking coffee in your Wolfy?
3. What year model was yr X5?

1. Only mod so far on the list is getting the TMC enabled, it’s a lifesaver in ****ty Sydney traffic and I don’t always want to be using Waze on the Apple Play. We already had extra tint added and to be honest I like the way it looks straight off.
2. Damn straight I will. Coffee fuels my days, and wine fuels my nights - don’t drink and drive kids
3, X5 was a 2014. Lease was up and Hubby wanted the new M2 Comp, so we traded it in. I swapped to his Golf GTi, but struggled with the boot space - teenagers have a lot of sports and school gear to schlep around.

Yeah. From what I can tell it’s a simple code change. Hoping to find a local South Sydney-sider with a kit already that could help me out, rather than forking out for the gear myself. I don’t plan on doing a lot of mods.

I’ll let you know how I go, will be the first thing I do the weekend after I pick up my Wolfsburg. Also, if you get a spare moment, could you please measure the size of the space where you would put your phone (in front of the gear stick). I’m hoping to put something like this there:

I haven’t been able to test yet but don’t foresee a problem.
Also, I’m a believer of owning my own device because you never know when you need to code back to factory settings (warranty and all)

I get the warranty issue with some mods, especially if you are also swapping out factory fitted parts. But the only mod I want right now is traffic. It’s already installed, they had it on earlier models and it’s a simple switch from off to on. In no way should this affect anything in my warranty.

If there’s a tick somewhere in the Menus to turn it on then your warranty won’t be effected, but if you go coding with an OBDEleven and mess something up, I can guarantee after they check the OBD Logs and see that you’ve been playing, they will charge for the reset.

Also, the reason why TMC is not available is because VW haven’t licensed the use for it here in Aus. - Don’t get me wrong, when my Wolfsburg turns up in a few weeks I will be coding the following:

- DLA
- TMC
- Traffic sign recognition
- Turn off auto start stop
- play around with trailer sway control and other trailer options.

My car went into Laurinda Marrickville for Pomponazzi, interior protection using GTech & Suntek CarbonXP tints to the front doors.

Car has just been washed and paint correction (buff & polished).





Tints have been applied too....



Next steps are 2 layers of Pomy 880-X and heat lamps

Looks amazing mate. Which pomponazzi did you go with (they commonly do 2 different grades). Do you also mind letting me know how much you paid? I’m still shopping around for PP and tints for when my Wolfsburg arrives

looks awesome! What tint did you get and what percentage? Did you tint the back windows or leave them as factory? What about the pano roof?
