  • Traffic Sign Recognition

    Hi all,

MY18.5 Tiguan Highline here... I have performed the steps that I *think* are required for TSR. They worked on my S3 but the Tiguan displays "Error Dynamic Road Sign" in the dashboard. Does anyone have the steps required and got it working?

I did notice that I couldn't make 2 of the changes (highlighted) because they weren't in the menu.

    Traffic Sign Recognition
    ===================
Make sure you do them in this order : Don't do both A5 coding and adaptions together before the Instruments (17) coding :

    Module: 5F
Adaption: (63) vehicle function list BAP traffic_sign_recognition_0x21
    Activated
    Adaption: (151) vehicle menu select-service menu_display_road_sign_identification
    Activated

    Module: A5
    Coding
Byte 1, Bit 0 Enable - "01 traffic sign recognition (FTE) active"

    Module: 17
    Coding
Byte 5, Bit 2 Enable - "Traffic Sign Recognition installed"

    Module: A5
Adaption: Display end of speed limit symbol (Can't find this one)
    Activated

Adaption: Road sign detection fusion mode
Road sign fusion (changed this to DETECTION)

    Thank you

Your car most likely has the newer 3QD front assist camera module.
There may be some changes to the adaptation channels used to control the feature with this newer software.
Have a look around on sites like Briskoda, VWVortex etc and see if you can find any details as these cameras have replaced the 3Q0 cameras for about 6 months in some models.

Can you post an adaptation channel map of your A5 module?

Cheers! I am using OBDeleven, is there any way to pull a dump easily? or I can just check the module reference when I check the car later.

        Resolved!

Thanks to BriskSkoda - Superb MKIII VCDS Adaptations - tried and tested - Diagnostics & VCDS - BRISKODA

Controller A5 (Front / front view camera)
        07 - Coding
        Byte 1

        This has now moved to:
