Ok cheers. I need to get a carport built before I contemplate a new car. What would you miss out on with the wolfsburg being an MY18 build as opposed to a MY19 build?

Good question. It’s mainly for resale value in a few years time if I were sell the car. The difference between a 2018 vs 2019 can be $5-6k difference in resale value. If you purchased a 2018 build car and pick it up in 2019 then the car is technically 1yr old and less in value. It is like buying last years model car?

So, been negotiating with a local dealer in Sydney for a new black Wolfy with sunroof which needs to be ordered from factory for $57.5k driveaway (yup you heard that right)!!!

It did take 2 days of back and forth. The only show stopper for us is that we wanted a 2019 build but apparently the wolfies are gonna only be 2018 build..... tough decision [emoji2955]

Is it only the wolfsburg that come in the orx pearl white? I swear I saw a normal rline the other day and it had the orx pearl. No black wheels or other black out bits on it but the paint had that champagne tinge to it

Yup. Oryx White is suppose to be a Wolfie exclusive atm. Must be a trick of the light or custom job.

See - well done, by all accounts that's a great deal.

Pretty sure all the Wolfsburg Rs were 2017 builds last year when I had mine, at the time the Wolf parts (~ $10k in real terms) far outweighed any resale difference (~ $2k) on build years so it was a no-brainer at the time so long as you weren't suckered into paying rrp.

If you want the bits on the Wolfsburg Tiguan just take it.

Black Wolfy with panoroof signed and ordered for mid Jan delivery. Also got managers special for 5 yrs manufacturer warranty (not supposed to be eligible as promo is only for cars delivered before 31 Dec 201. All this for a special price of $57.5k [emoji846].

Now the wait starts....[emoji21]

Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition - Australian Delivery Information

For those who have a car on order, the dealer stock controller will assign you a build slot and the dealer will then know rough build times and estimated delivery dates.

Once the car is in production you will get a VIN so you can track the car when it is in transit/shipped from the factory to final destination (Oz of course).

For ship tracking, use the VIN as the customer number on the following website & Mobile App.

How can I track my shipment | Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean

The mobile app is great as you can track the process of the ship in real-time! Only negative is it makes you more nervous and in anticipation....[emoji21]
