Once the car is in production you will get a VIN so you can track the car when it is in transit/shipped from the factory to final destination (Oz of course).

For ship tracking, use the VIN as the customer number on the following website & Mobile App.

How can I track my shipment | Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean

The mobile app is great as you can track the process of the ship in real-time! Only negative is it makes you more nervous and in anticipation....[emoji21]

    Good luck to all!

Ok, good news & bad news.

    Good news first:
My car has finished building and is on its way to Hamburg docks to get shipped to Oz! Expected arrival to Port Kembla port is 10 Jan - so delivery is end of Jan...

    Bad news:
Wallenius website does not allow us to track the cargo (via VIN) so I don’t know which ship it’s gonna be on. Would have to check with the dealer once they know.....

This is the shipping schedule to the end of year, but I don’t know which ship my car is on yet. Will find out when it boards the ship I suppose.

          • Hello all. Has anyone considered colour matching the plastic wheel arches to the rest of the body? I think that would make a great touch and make the overall car look visually lower (as I think it makes the wheels look like it 'fills out' the arches more if that makes sense).

              • Hey Orpheus, I'm actually getting the Tiggy Wolfie (being delivered in a few weeks). The R-line still has a thin black plastic trim around the wheel arch. I think the lower models have this too, but their trims are much bigger/fatter.

                • Ah yes I see what you mean the wheels arches have a thin bezel.

I'm afraid to say that the R-line does have unpainted wheel arch trims. All the lower plastics on the doors and front/rear bumpers are body coloured but the section going over the wheels is an unpainted grey textured plastic.

                      • Any Wolfie or Highline/R-line owners can confirm whether Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) is enabled from factory?

This shows DLA working on the Tiguan:

And another that shows the cornering and the DLA (watch how dramatic the top shutter is):

This shows where it should appear on the console:

Birds eye view of what it should look like:

                          • Thanks Mitch! Yeah I've seen multiple videos of it working, but I think they are European Tiguans (I might be wrong). I lurked on a few threads and I think I read some folks saying that its disabled on our Aussie Tiggys.

Just wondering if the new MY19 Tiguans or slightly older versions have the function enabled from factory (fingers crossed)!

                            • Yes it’s enabled from the factory. At least my Wolfsburg was, purchased a few months back. Absolutely love the car, even more so with APR stage 1 Flash tune. Resonator delete has given the car a deeper growl at RPM but it’s not a huge increase in sound. Same gearbox as the RS3 too. 👍
