They're obviously trying to upsell me on surface coating, interior coating, UV tinting and the Schmick membership.
I want to say no, no, no and yes to all of the above.

What do you guys think?

I was the same. Would recommend the schmick membership - has already come in handy after not noticing a rogue cobblestone curb sticking out. $50 to repair what would have cost a couple of hundred dollars of curb rash. I'd also recommend haggling - they have room to budge (duh).

You can obviously just get the membership on your own, so it all depends how much you value the convenience of having it done for you. Also saves having to prove you have no pre-existing damage.

2. Asking Price is $65,400 on road in NSW. "Limited Edition, not for negotiation"

A lot of dealers said the same thing about the R Wolfsburg and that was an outright lie.

Hi All, the wait is over!

The "Wolfsburg has landed". Got a call from my dealer the car is in the showroom so some photos and initial thoughts on the car.

White:






Indium Grey:







My thoughts:
1. White colour - I really like the white colour as the extra black trims adds more contrast against the white paint. The white is my favourite so far (it was initially 3rd on my list - behind black & grey)
2. Grey colour - I'm still not convinced this colour looks hot hot (like the white)....maybe its an overcast day so the colour might not be showing that great.
3. Black colour - dealer says 13 days for it to arrive in the showroom. This was my initial choice so a black on black will be interesting.....

THanks I like that Little Dynaaudio speaker where the door handle is. I had forgotten there was an audio upgrade on this. Anyone had a chance to listen to VW's premium audio before. I have the BMW Harmon Kardon on a 13 year old mini cooper and its still one of the best audio systems I have.

So I just went to see a white Wolfsburg in a dealership and I was disappointed to notice there aren't any heated outer rear seats. I was under the impression that this would be a standard equipment on the Wolfsburg. Can anyone confirm this or does anyone have more knowledge on this?

Fair enough, I guess if your paying $60k+ for a car if should be exactly what you want!

Really? No heated back seats = deal breaker? Sorry I don’t mean to sound rude but it sounds like you may have your mind set already against the Wolfsburg and just finding reason to justify.

I know, sounds ridiculous to me. But it's the one function my family was adamant about and the Wolfsburg package seemed to have it all. But not only is family not even sold on Oryx White (that I pushed through) but now this is missing too.
At that point I might as well get a much cheaper My18.5 Highline or switch to something non-VW. It's not like the dealer experience blew me away.

Well I don't expect it to have absolutely everything, but just those things I really wanted and somehow (naively maybe) thought were part of this spec. And obviously because the missus is the main driver with the kids, it has to tick those boxes too.
However, I don't see heated rear seats on the Allspace either so not sure where to from here. Anyway..first world problems
